ProgramsNow, More Than Ever.
Our mission is to give low-income people in Silicon Valley access to civil legal counsel. Eight legal services organizations benefit from the Campaign. Collectively, these agencies reach a broad demographic of people with a range of legal needs from immigration, to health care, to housing, to family law issues, to special problems of the elderly and much more. The need for local legal assistance has never been greater. Federal and local governments, foundations, and other agencies have all slashed or outright eliminated funding for civil legal services for the poor. These individuals-our neighbors-need our help now more than ever.

ParticipateThe Next Step
There is a great need for volunteers at the legal services agencies THE CAMPAIGN supports. Our agencies need assistance from attorneys, paralegals and other professionals in the areas of legal representation, in-take, administrative support, event support and management, and real estate acquisition. There is an acute need for bilingual attorneys and volunteers. The communities we serve speak more than three dozen different languages. Several hours of your time can make a huge difference for a client or family in need. If you are interested, please email us.

About UsRecognized as a Top Funding Model
The Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services was formed in 1999 by a group of attorneys who noted that Silicon Valley fell far behind other communities when it came to per capita legal assistance, even though Silicon Valley is one of the wealthiest areas in the state. Our goal since then has been to augment giving to legal services in our community in the most cost-effective manner possible.

Challenge.
THE CAMPAIGN for Legal Services relies on donations from a variety of
sources. Still, current giving fails to meet the need of all who seek our help
each year. That’s why we’ve challenged each resident in Silicon Valley to
donate an amount equal to a minimum of one hour of his or her wage or
billable time. By making this baseline investment, you can become part of
our mission to ensure that all residents, regardless of income, can find
solutions to their civil legal problems.
